Transformation of the season and ourselves.

Autumn is often a time for reflection. It is the end of many things- backyard BBQs, summer vacations, trips to the beach. It also marks the start of something new- cooler breezes, a new school year, the start of the holiday season. As the days grow shorter and the weather turns cooler, time almost seems to slow down. We have more time to look inward and reflect on what we are truly thankful for. A heart full of gratitude is essential to leading a fulfilling life. Instead of focusing on what you think you need its important to realize what you already have and to find the calmness that this provides. Take some time today, even just 2 minutes, to stop what you are doing and reflect on all that you have been gifted. Large gifts like family, friends, or health are obvious but what about taking time to notice the small gems all around you- a flower that has just opened, the shape of a beautiful cloud, the call of a happy bird. So many things to be grateful for if you just allow yourself the time to notice and appreciate them. Gratitude isn’t just a feeling, it’s a practice that you can cultivate every single day. To do this, try integrating gratitude mantras into our morning routine. Try saying this mantra out loud or in your mind: “I am grateful for my beating heart, the breath in my lungs, and my strong body.” We wish you peace and joy this autumn season.
